Welcome to the official blog for THINKING ANIMATION: Bridging the Gap Between 2D and CG, the one and only book from Thompson Course Technology that will change how you animate!

I live and work in Los Angeles, creating animation for film and commercials.

I am an animator. I write this blog for other animators and people who love making things move for the BIG - and little screens. I wrote a book on animation in 2006 and started this blog to promote it. Now it's a fun place to put all the inspiring stories, animations and fun that goes on in this business.

My co-author - Jamie Oliff - reads the blog regularly, but is a bit challenged typing on a keyboard...so, he is here in spirit. I cover everything from computer generated animation, VFX, stop motion and even puppets.
