Recruiting at Siggraph:
It's always best to contact the folks you hope to interview with BEFORE Siggraph, so you don't fall into the vacuum of demo reels that are collected there. For the most part, artists who are not local to where the show is held will be interviewed first. So, if you are from LA, it's important to get your work in front of the right people now.

Unfortunately, empty seats seem to be overseas. below is a list of those I have found are actively recruiting artists for specific shows at Siggraph in August. I put a ** next to the studios have an IMMEDIATE NEED and are specifically hiring animators. My best advice to to pay attention to the upcoming release dates of animated features.

If a movie is not due to release until 2010, it probably a sure bet the studio will not be needing animators until at least 2009, or later. Use your time wisely. Also, if the studio is not advertising a need for your skill set or position...don't bother them. They will have enough on their hands handling the candidates that are possibly a good fit for their needs.
